Extinction

 Love once so pure
Untainted by the world
Lived to breathe truth and honesty
Unblemished untouched by negativity
In prisoned in its own environment
Protected secure impenetrable
To evil forces
Slowly love begin to wonder away
From its purity
Exploring new dimensions
Inviting in outside forces

Room 13

There is nothing about this
Room that holds
Memories of jubilant times
The walls shout out dysfunction
The floors cry from being stepped on
Furniture cowers in the corners from
Witnessing many nights of broken promises
Shattered reminisces of sordid colored walls

Stupor

 Standing still unmoving
Always in one place not growing
Afraid to adventure out into the world
Making excuses has become a bit boring
Life must continue to cultivate new dreams
Wake up till the land plant the seed of wonderment
Water it with tears of laughter
Imagine what tomorrow will be
If you wake up from your stupor
Before tomorrow disappears

Oblivion

To wish away memories
Never give birth to pain
Letting remembrances remain in oblivion
Restless reminiscences roam unable to rest
Unsettle thoughts dangle from tears
Shadows of the past cast a sorrowful aura
Always a reminder of regrets that linger
Tangling themselves with the present

Morphing

Where is the You I become
Where is the I to myself belong
A face in the mirror morphs into
A new dimension of you
Open my mouth to speak
It’s your voice that reverberates
Everywhere I turn it’s your image
That appears
Slowly the butterfly returns to
The caterpillar
All identity gone
Now the question still remains
Where is the You I become
Where is the I to myself belong
